Help Ripping Seams

picture is from Rockler's website, no I don't tie flies!

My dh gets e mail notification from Rockler, a woodwork supply site on sales. The last sale I got this great led magnifying lamp. You can clamp it on your worktable or it has a magnet in the base and you can just attach it magnetically to a metal table or machine or it attaches to the clamp magnetically. It works on battery or household current. It doesn't take up a lot of room and I push it out of the way when I don't need it. Having had issues with the buttonholes I've been trying to make today it was a godsend when I had to rip them out! They are having a sale again so I though I'd pass on the information.

  1. That looks like a really good one. I have a lamp with a magnifier attached to the sewing table, but I also recently bought one of those that you strap to your head, you know; the ones that look like something a welder would use for eye protection, lol! It works great for beading so I don't care how silly I look.

  2. Considering all the beading you have in your future, I'd say that saving your eyesight is whole lot better than looking silly!

Good thing I looked at the Rockler page! I was going to ask if you'd taken up fly tying also... ;)

  5. I have a similar magnifier, please take care that if you do not use it cover it with a piece of cloth because sunlight can start a fire.

  6. Oh, I may need to order one of these. Thanks for the heads-up - I was just picking black thread out of black fabric, and even with my reading glasses my eyes were crossing.
